Now I am not a technician so forgive me if I get some of the terms wrong. I was getting interment signal loss on all of my receivers (2 dvr plus and 1 old samsung). It was not on all channels however. First I put this off to wind snow or ice. One day I got the loss and the wind wasn't that bad, so I climbed up on my ladder and felt the front of the dish to see if any ice was there. There was no ice but pushing on the front of the dish slightly got my signal back.

The next time I got a loss of signal; it was sunny, warm, and not a wind anywhere. Back to the ladder. I checked all of the nuts but they were all tight. Checked to see if the dish was easy to move. No movement. Just before I gave up, I noticed something. There is a little box which I assume is the multiswitch. 4 wires coming out, two going in. One of the wires going in, showed a lot more thread than the other. I touched it and it was really loose. Tightened it down, checked the others. Haven't had a problem since.
