A&E Networks has bought 18 hours of documentaries from ITV's production and distribution division, Granada International.
The documentaries will air on The History Channel and History International in the US, and on The History Channel in international markets.
"These new series from Granada International are a good addition to our internationally themed programming," said The History Channel's VP of scheduling, acquisitions and digital, Peter Gaffney, "and will be of real interest to our core audience."
When Hitler Invaded Britain, China: The Dragon's Descent and The Adventure of English are programmes included in the deal.
"We are delighted to be working closely with AETN as their channels extend their worldwide footprint," said Granada International's VP of sales, Tania Ussher. "Granada International’s unique documentary event programming will, I am sure, raise The History Channel profile internationally."
