99 CENT PPV COMING BACK July 1...

This is a promotion Dish should make permanent, even if it's only on week ends. I feel as others here, Dish would end up not only making a lot of money, but from a PR standpoint, it would really put them ahead of the competition. Also there's a psychological thing at work here. Many of us refuse to use Dish PPV because we're against paying $6.95 and up for a single movie, but on a weekend, many would be tempted to order many more movies than just one when the cost is only 99 cents. Over the course of the weekend, we may end up ordering 3 to 6, or more movies because we're thinking, it's only a buck, what the heck. So now Dish has made at least some money from us who so defiantly refuse to pay the $6.95.

Things to come from Blockbuster division maybe.

Maybe it is a good start.Netflix is about 9 bucks a month and alot of the newer releases you cant stream at all even after the 28 day window that Netflix agreed with some of the studios.Starz play is the only movies you can get on the streaming for the most part ,at least some of the newer movies. If Dish could do this 99cent a movie deal I for one would order alot of my movies from them. This overall would put REDBOX OUT....Why would you drive to the box and fight the elements, gas, time when you can order right at home and not have to take the movie back......

Yes I believe it is 4.Dont quote me on that though.lol/ I wish the movie UNKNOWN was on the list but it is the regular $5.99 hd

I refuse to pay $6.99 for a movie. Seems to me if they would lower the price they would make it up on volume.

I was looking at the first menu when you press the DVR button this weekend and noticed a option I think was called platinum movies. There where about 500 free HD movies. Several good titles.

The price of Dish's PPV is what pushed me to get Netflix. A lot less arguing in the house between wife, son, and me, the keeper of funds!

Just got an email from Dish. Glad to see the are advertising it. Last time, if it had not been for SatGuys, I would not have even known about the 99 cent offer.
