Hello all!!!

Can you actually use a normail HDMI cable instead of HDMI-DVI converter? I have my DVD using DVI and would like to use HDMI on the receiver if I can.

Yes, you can use a normal HDMI cable, assuming, of course, that your TV accepts a HDMI connection.

I connect my 942 and TV with a normal HDMI cable. Reportedly the audio passed on the HDMI connection is just stereo, not 5.1, however.

Ellye, have you/anyone A/B tested whether there is any PQ difference between the provided cable/converter and a straight HDMI cable? Just curious whether it's worth the extra ka-ching?
