I got a new 622 this weekend and decided to keep the 942 for my bedroom and connect my son's tv throught the TV2 output. I hooked everything up (cables, diplexors, etc.) except for the cable from my son's tv to the diplexor. The 942 was working at this point and I flipped throught the channels on my bedroom tv. I then went to the basement and plugged the cable to my son's tv into the diplexor and went back upstairs and the 942 was off but I heard a clicking noise from the hardrive in the 942. I unpluged it plugged it back in several times and got nothing. Called Dish and they are sending a replacement (I still have the $1.99 warranty) but I lose all my recordings.
Is there a special order to hook up the cables and diplexors I'm not aware of or does the 942 have to be off or unplugged before hooknig all the cables to it? I used a diagrahm for hooking up the diplexors I found on this forum (http://www.solidsignal.com/dishnetwork/DISH_Pro-DISH_Pro_Plus_Diagrams/DistributionExample10.pdf). Thanks in advance for any help.
