I have read the other 942 audio threads and didn't find my specific problem so I am posting a new thread.
I have a 942 / Samsung HD TV (5667W) and Sony receiver. When I connect the OTA antenna to the TV I get full 5.1 sound through the receiver. When I connect the same antenna to the 942 I do not, none of the other connections have changed. I do not the the 5.1 sound on any of the sat channels. I have the HDMI connection from 942 to TV and an optical connection between TV and receiver. I have tried the seperate audio cables from the 942 to the receiver with no change in audio signal. I have checked to make sure the Digital and PCM audio option has been selected. Any suggestions?
