I've searched quite alot on this topic, but I can't seem to find an answer.

If I subscribe to locals off the satellite, but also have HD locals OTA, will the 942 handle dual-tuning? Can I watch an SD local channel, plus record an HD channel? Or record both?

What about watching SD local channel on one TV and HD locals on the other?

I know this is all possible with dual tuners on the satellite side, but I haven't seen anything about it on the locals side.

Thanks.

welcome to the site, glad you are here.

1. yes to recording one off air and one from the satellite.

2. yes to watching hd on your hd tv and watching sd on another.

visit often.

You can only watch OR record one local off-air channel at a time, SD or HD. If you are recording an off-air station (SD or HD) you cannot watch ANY other kind of off-air on either TV via the receiver. You can ONLY watch a satellite delivered channel on the 2 TV's in that case.

Okay, that works. Thanks, guys.

And thanks for the welcome korsjs. I'm looking forward to hanging out in the community.
