Fixed a problem where people who's Dish locals were not in the 8000 range were not getting OTA guide data.

Also fixed the "bug" in L215 which allowed people who don't subscribe to locals to get (free) OTA guide data.

So, it usually takes from 3-6 months to get a 921 software release out. But, when the customer is mistakingly getting something free they can get a release out in 2 weeks.

Amazing isnt it.

They should have left it alone, after all 811's get the guide data for free.

This is crap... They charge me 5 dollars for Dish DVR service fee and then don't give me my local programming EPG. They had it working. Now they've deliberately stopped it. That alone is almost enough to make me cancel, add to that the Voom programming Sux package and I'm definately considering cancelation.....

2.16 Broke Locals

The update seems to have broken HD locals for me. I no longer can get xx-1 channels. For example, I receive 5-2 but not 5-1. Rebooted, deleted, rescanned, unplugged. Did all the tricks I could think of. The channels don't even appear on the guide. This "fix" now makes it so I cannot receive any of the local HD streams. Way to go D* Anyone else having this problem?

re: 2.16 broke locals

Yep, apparently this problem is only affecting people who do not subscribe to Local-Into-Local (LIL). So, I don't see it.

There have been reports that people complaining to adv tech support have gotten the LIL channels turned on free (until the problem is fixed).

My Springfield Mo local 17 UPN still has 'No Information Available' like it has been for the last 6 months. Off the bird, not OTA.

My local channel 3 just has 'local programming' in the guide... I *think* that one is OTA. Too lazy to go look.

I haven't noticed any other 'fix' since I spend most of my time on HD/Voom now...
