I wanted a 942 but Dish wouldn't sell me one because I was an existing customer and my dealer offered to sell me one but it wouldn't inlclude installation which I needed.ediemash said:811 doesnt either but the 942 does, also the 811 doesnt have the search option either and i need that so i didnt get that one.
What about the 942?chaddux said:I know you only have nine posts but if you don't know what you're talking about, it's better not to post at all as opposed to posting incorrect information. You're not helping any when you post incorrect information because someone has to come along and correct you. Try to make sure you're accurate. It helps out everyone. The 811 DOES have dish home as tonyp indicated.
"dish home is available on 3900, 4900, 301, 501, 508, 510, 322, 522, 625, 721, and 811 model receivers."

They assured me it would fix the CC bug along with many others. I called the executive offices and told them that I would like to place a bet that it wouldn't fix the CC issue and that I would like to do some type of upgrade to the 942. I was told that IF I sent in the 921 that I own they would then LET me pay $250 to be able to lease a 942. Oh yeah, like that makes financial sense!
