Are you talking about C-band or KU? C-band is highly unlikely, except for maybe the analog religious channel. If you're wanting to sub 4dtv, KU is possible but I think you still need to get the channel maps from a C-band sat before KU will work.

unless it has the newest maps it will be fine. But yeah make sure the newest channel maps are in it or it will be a bugger.
