811 with a 508 Setup???

Can anyone confirm that this set up will work to record SD with the 811?

1. Dish antenna coax input into the 811.

2. 811 output coax into the 508-input from Antenna.

3. 508 output into the s-video of the TV.

4. 811 output (DVi to the television for HD channels).

There is no output coax on the 811. No it won't work that way, but it's a good idea. What you can do however, is to split your OTA antenna with a standard splitter before it goes into the 811 and then go to each input. That's what I do for inputs to my 811 and my Samsung T-151. Or, if you are talking about the Dish satellite feed that ain't possible at all even if you had an out.

The 508 can't record from an external source, if I'm not mistaken. It can only record from it's internal satellite tuner. No OTA, either. You'd need Dish Locals to record local programming.
