811 connections

Just purchased a hitachi s715, I have an old model dishtv receiver using svideo and cables for audio, picture is excellent. I would like to upgrade to the
811 receiver will my sd picture remain good, how to connect the 811, hdmi
cable and then would I also need standard cables for audio or does the hdmi
carry video and audio.

I have my 811 hooked up via DVI and HD looks incredible, SD looks acceptable. You will need additional audio cables with DVI.
