Bought a new slimline 5 HD SWM directv dish to replace old SD dish which works fine. I used a Tracker Light meter to find 101 and 119 both which meter showed locked. I tried setup in Florida and worked fine but in Canada getting a 771 no signal error even when meter locks on to both Satellites. It will download guide to about 97% then gives 771 error.
I have 3 way splitter and 21 volt power supply hooked up
any help would be appreciated. Could I have it on wrong satellite?
using meter readings - L- 101.0W, F - 12428, S - 20000, Lo - 11250, LNB - 13V, 22K - off
and L- 119.0W, F - 12603, S-20000, Lo - 11250, LNB 13V, 22K - on
My PVRs are HR23 - 700

:welcome to Satelliteguys!

I'm guessing you aren't pointed at the correct satellite. You need to use the 101 satellite. BTW, the three way splitter doesn't sound like it's Directv approved. Is there a model number on it?

Hi Chip - are 101 and 101.0W different satellites? Sat Pro sold me the dish and meter and they helped me program the meter on the phone with the info I posted above

They are the same satellite. You did change the elevation and skew from the Florida settings, yes?

Ah, so it's a four way splitter, not a three way. That's what threw me off.

Assuming nothing wrong with the equipment, you need to be patient and go through the setup again. Make sure the mast is plumb, double check your settings for elevation and skew, point the dish at 217, then slowly move the dish a little at a time, giving time for the dvr to register signal strength changes, and see what happens. Good luck, don't give up!

Distant Networks?

What specific cabling is required?
