722 to Ext Hard Drive Transfer Problem

I've been transferring some World Series games from my 722 hard drive
to the ext hard drive this past week, but ran into a problem tonight.

I record these in HD, and have had about 7 and a half hours of HD
avail on my 722 hard drive, and around 2 hours left when finishing the
game. This is roughly 25000 MB to transfer to the ext hard drive.
This has gone fine until tonight. I transferred the game to the ext
hard drive, and it showed up there fine. However, my 7 plus hours did
NOT return to the 722 hard drive. It still shows only 2 hrs and 18
min of HD available, as if the game had never been transferred.

I moved up my daily update time to see if that might reset things, but
it was still the same afterwards.

Any ideas as to what I might do?

Are you sure the game was parsed and not just compresses at a different rate?
