Within 24 hours one of my 2 722s changed its External Hard Drive household key and did not allow access. (That's Menu-6-3-Counters-several page downs.) My 622 and the other 722 had the same but different key. The changed last digit was ...F8 vs. ...F6 for the other two.
Requested a hit (took ~12 min + wait at 1AM) after trying a reboot without success while waiting. After a short wait the keys changed to ...38 on bad and ...36 on the two. On at least the two 722s, one of my 6 big disks worked. So all is well except for the 1/2 hour lost and as much to post this.
Question 1, why is one key of the 722s different and both 722s still work with old disks?
Question 2, I thought the key was matched to the disks, why do they work with a new key after the hit?
