Hey folks! This is my first post, but have been reading the forums for a long time...good stuff!
Wanted to share my experience in case anyone could benefit by it. I currently own a 811, and a 508, and lease a 510. Been about three years since I've made any changes. We have two HD tvs now, and I finally wanted to be able to record HD, as well as get all the HD channels.
On the first day the 722 was available, I called and was told I couldn't get two 2 tuner receivers. I couldn't lease them, and I couldn't even BUY the the second one. I was a bit dumbfounded (not hard to do) and wrote the ceo.
A few hours later I called back and talked with another CSR. This one seemed to really know her stuff, and told me of course I could purchase a second 2-tuner receiver if I wished ( 599 for 722, 549 for 622). I said I would hold off on the second one for now, but did order the upgrade of one receiver to the 722. I was thinking I might be able to find a deal on a 622 on ebay.
A couple hours later, the ceo people called me on the phone. They told me since I had been a long standing customer, they would make an exception and let me upgrade a second receiver to a 622!
So, I guess it is possible to get around the 3-tuner transaction thing with a little help. I'll let you know how the install goes later in the week. For now, I'm pretty pleased.
