625 Buffering, /which tuner??

Situation: 625 is in single mode. Record Plus enabled with recording pref. set to TV2.

Watching TNTHD and without changing channesl went to watch PVR event that had been recorded earlier. Finished watching the recorded event and went back to live TV on TNTHD. The program had not been buffered!!!

After fooling around I found that another channel had been buffered.

How do you make sure the live program you are watching is being buffered if you want to go back and forth between the recorded program and the live you are watching?

only 100% sure way would be to record it, or keep it "alive" in a pip window.

625's do not require a tuner to be kept "alive" in a PIP window (unlike the 721, but even they have a small icon mode that will buffer the background). Swapping the tuners on a 625 works "100% sure."

yes, but you can't be 100% sure of tuners continuing to buffer when watching something previously recorded.
