622 with myDVR expander hard drive problem

I have a 622 with WD myDVR expander HD (officially supported by both manuafacturers) that was working flawlessly and now when I try to copy something from the internal HD, it displays a messae that the hard disk needs to be formated in order to work. The same message I got when I originally bought the drive six months or so ago.

I tried powering down everything, replugging in the cables, but no improvement.

Unfortunately - which should not come to anyone's surprise - I have lots of great shows on the external disc, so I would really hate to have to loose all that (especially since I bought the drive to safeguard the stuff I had on the internal drive which is much older!).

Is there some sort of "chkdsk" or equivalent that can repair my drive?

Call DISH and have them rehit your EHD.

Just got off the phone with Dish. They suggested waiting 24 hours to see if it resolves itself, and did not know any way to "rehit". They said reauthorizing was for 211's not 622 DVRs.
