622 upgrade question

I called Dish (got an indian CSR) about upgrading my 508 to a 622 about 2 weeks ago and she told me I could do the $150 up front then $50 rebate and 10x$10 monthly credits. This sounded great getting it for "free" but I had to wait till the end of the month for my current contract to expire. After reading a post or two here I tried calling tech support to get a CONUS representative. She told me that I couldn't get the 10 x $10 credit since I was already a HD subscriber but I could upgrade now. So I guess my question now is...I want a free 622 any suggestions?

If you have another receiver besides the 508 that you receive HD on and you where getting the $10.00 rebate before. That is true you would not qualify for the new $10.00 x 10

This is kind of on the same topic. My father in law has an 811 and may want to upgrade to the 211. I saw the prices on the Tech slides and was wondering if he would get the $10 discounts since he is not a "DishHD" subscriber now. He has the old pack.
