622 remote

I think I read that the 622 remote for tv 1 is ir and tv 2 is uhf. I know on some of the first dual turners there was an upgrade available to make tv1 uhf. Is there anything like this available for the 622?

I'm using the IR to UHF pro upgrade kit with my ViP211 to control it in the bedrooms. Once my 622 arrives, I had planned to sell the kit on ebay but you've given me an idea. I had planned to use the 622 in single mode but I could use it in dual mode in the bedrooms. Hmmm.

622 comes with two remotes if you want to run as dual mode. Unless you wanted to run into third bedroom, you still won't need the kit.

K4LK, on that kit is the remote an actual uhf remote talking to the base?

gays, I don't want the remote for a third room just the convenience of the uhf remote.

The UHF remote talks to the converter box which then translates them and emits IR to the receiver. It controls other devices via IR only.

I currently have a 522 in my basement and run both TV's upstairs (TV1 and TV2) with separate UHF remotes. Does the same capability exist with the 622 - both TV1 and TV2 can be operated through the UHF control vs. IR on TV1?
