Does anyone know if the update will correct the false signal error?
Every 2 out of 3 times I tune to a Voom HD channel, I get a black screen like there's no signal. But all I have to do is go to the install menu and exit back out and I get my picture back. It's really annoying when I dvr stuff cuz it just tunes to the black screen and misses the recording. It's practically impossible for me to DVR any Voom channels.

SS is 50 on 129.
Since I got Dish 6 months ago, they sent 3 techs out and that's the best they can do even though there doesnt appear to be any obstructions?
Is that why this is happening? strange that if you enter and exit menu, the picture comes back

What transponder? It doesn't surprise me at all to see those low readings on 129. The reason I ask is that some TPs read higher than others.

the channels that seem most problamatic are gallery and treasure and they are tpns 6 and 29 i believe....both similar SS, 50-51
Just talked to a friend at Dish it is still a go for tommorow.
Sweet! That means only a couple of weeks until my receiver gets it!
Does anyoone know the SNs of the 622 receivers that will be whacked.... er, updated tonight?
I'd just like to know whether to unplug my 622 to avoid being a hapless Dish guinea pig

When I talked to Dish tech support last night I was told all 622 units would get the software update Thursday.

Scott posted that around 100K receivers will get the update tomorrow. Someone estimated that's about 20% of the 622s out there.
Not here, although I am not worried. The day is not over yet. Most 622 upgrades have been done in the afternoon.
