622 and dvd recorder

I have my 622 in single mode, HDMI going out to the tv. I have the dvd recorder hooked up through composite (red,yellow,white) on the tv1 output of the 622. All of my images going through the dvd recorder look anamorphic (I know about the HD down rezzing) but the SD looks skinny. How should I set the equipment?

To record programs from the 622 on a DVD recorder set the format (*) for stretch. Remember that it is a separate setting for SD and HD channels. HD channels will be a little cropped but if your are going to play back the DVDs on a SD TV it is the best choice to use.
