61.5 outage?

Times like this, I'm happy that I added FiosTV just for my actual local stations. Got tired of watching philly news when I'm three hours directly south of it! Gotta love Salisbury, MD locals, none of the satellite companies run them! Just local cable or Fios.

Maybe there was a bigger reason why dish didn't put those 9 national HD channels on 61.5. Just a thought.

The spot beam locals are being fed from a different satellite Rainbow 1 (now Echostar 12) the other national channels are being served from Echostar 3.

From memory it's E12 which can have spots on odd transponders from 1-23, with 17-23 now (?) in conus mode. Edited to add: can somebody do a signal strength test of those odd transponders right away? It would be interesting to know if E12 just disappeared completely, or rather it's only the spots that are down.

Let's hope E12 didn't get rammed by E6!

Lets hope this gets resolved by 8PM tonight. Just switched to Eastern Arc last week and now dont have standard locals as a backup. Wife is going to be pissed tonight, if she misses her line-up tonight especially 24.

Whatever happened to getting locals thru an off-air antenna?

People may disagree however the quality is better and not delayed about 30 seconds.

Dish installer just left after upgrading me to EA Just sat down to check it out and no Locals off 61.5 EEEK Thank Heavens for the Satellite guys and Hemi for opening this thread. I did have them leave 110 as a wing so I have them SD

I do get my locals OTA as well as through the satellite. Problem is there isn't enough tuners now to record all the conflicts that happen on a Monday night.
