I called Dish and talked to their account specialist today since my 2 year price lock was getting ready to expire. The Dish agent was very helpful. I received a $13 discount on my Top 250 programming, $5 discount on DVR service, $5 discount for autopay, $2 discount on locals for a total $25 discount.
He was aware of the 55+ upgrade offer. Since I am 67, he tried to enter the code to upgrade my account from Dish Protect Silver to Dish Protect Gold with 1 free movie. My account would not accept the upgrade code. I asked if I needed to email him a scanned copy of my Driver’s License to prove my age. He said that Dish already has that information. He feels that Dish has not yet updated all of the accounts and that is why the code would not work. He sent my info to the back office so that they can fix the account. He told me to check back next Wednesday to verify that they have applied the upgrade.
My experience with the customer account specialist was very pleasant.
