522 Setup problems...

I'm sure this has been covered cause I know its very simple (for those of you that know how to do it ) but I could find nothing in my searches. I had to unhook my 522 receiver for some remodeling I was doing and now when I hook it back up I can not get a picture (or any kind of reception) to my TV2. I know its a cabling hookup issue because I have tried running a long cable directly to my second TV from the receiver and everything works fine. To make things worse, while I had my satellite unhooked I hooked up my cable TV to the TV thats TV2 so I messed around with those connections by the switch as well I just don't understand the diplexers, I have two of them, one by my switch and one by the receiver. Could someone please help explain the way to hook it up, just a simple two TV setup, one right by the receiver (TV1) and one in another room (TV2). I do have two cables already ran to the receiver.

thanks, thats exactly how I have it setup...hmmm, I finally called Dish and they are sending someone out to fix it...

are you sure you didn't mes it up any weirs up, i mean like crossed them?

pretty sure. Let me see if I can describe it for you. From my receiver I have my TV2 out going to the vhf/uhf port on the diplexer(1), I have the Sat2 IN going to the Sat port on the diplexer(1) and the In/Out port going to the wall, it goes down to my basement to another diplexer(2) In/Out port, the Sat port on the other diplexer(2) goes to my Dish Pro switch and the vhf/uhf port goes to my TV2.

Does this make sense? It seems to be the same as the wiring diagram in that PDF???

haw many sat feeds do you have going to your 522? i assume it is 2. and you mentioned that you did remodeling so what i meant is at the wall plate when you hocked everything back

oh, yeah I have two sat feeds going to the receiver. Sat2 is going with the duplexer, and Sat1 is coming straight through from the switch to the wall plate, then to the receiver's Sat1 IN port.

no problem. it happens
