Is there a way to "train" the 5.2 IR remote to learn a code from another remote?

I have a plasma TV whose codes aren't listed and I only need the on-off?

Did you try to scan all the codes? Not just the ones listed for your device.

Yes, I tried that. I have an HP PL4200n tv, but there is no code to work it, at least according to the number of codes I was able to scan. Pushing the buttons for 300 times is a drag.

This may be long shot, but sometimes if I scan and I dont find the code I try scanning in the opposite direction depending wether Istarted going down or up. It's worked for me once or twice during my past three years installing dish receivers. Good luck.

I also had a friend tell me that he tried the listed codes manually three times in row each to get the right one.
