4K Joey

I have noticed that the 4K Joey gets its internet connection from the Hopper 3. I have a network cable attached to the Joey as well. Is the necessary, better or worse?

I asked the same question about 6 weeks ago. My Joey 4K is connected to my Hopper 3 via the MoCA coax.
I was told that the Ethernet cable was not used.

BTW before I received my Joey 4K I ran new coax and new Ethernet cable to the location. The Ethernet cable
is now coiled up in the corner.

The 4K Joey will work over Gigabit Ethernet with the coax disconnected but doesn't do very well with the Internet Apps. I, too, unplugged the Ethernet cable and added it to my Travel Tech Kit.
