IIRC the only 4K games have been from FOX.

There will not be any more college football games in 4K for the rest of the season. That includes the playoff and championship games. Jim is correct, all the games that have been in 4K on Dish have been on Fox, including the baseball World Series. Dish has a contract with Fox for those games but little else.

Where do you think Dish will get the 4K feed from. Nobody is supplying one and I really don’t see it happening for many years.

Do you remember when HGTV did a commercial free HD broadcast of the Rose Parade? This was when HD content was new. So maybe a provider will step up by next year. We can always hope.

I just got my LG 4k set 65 inch for Christmas. I still have the HWS, but I get Amazon Prime and a lot of it is in 4k. I am shocked by the quality of the picture. It is so detailed that it looks like 3D almost. I guess my next move will be a Hopper3, so I can get Dish 4k.

There is not a ton of Dish 4K available but there is some there.

curious... i have the flex pack . is the 4k in the national package geared towards sports?i do not watch sports on tv so i didn’t know if it would be a waste to add it. the only time i watch sports on tv is the olympics.

I'm going out on a limb here but I'd bet the the next sports we will see in 4K will be the Women's World Cup matches in June.

But to win the bet, there would have to be no other 4K sporting events in the meantime. Even one other 4K game between now and then, and you would lose.

Sadly, given the state of 4K on Dish, Bobby's thought probably isn't that big of a stretch.

Well, in the Non-Discussion thread, the longest gap between posts is only about two-and-a-half months. So, Bobby's guess that the next 4K sporting event won't be until about five months from now may be a little off.
