The Hopper 3 will record in 4K, I still have some 4K recordings from the Rio Olympics. 4K Joeys get their information from the Hopper, they don’t record anything. You will be able to watch those recordings from the Hopper on the 4K Joey though.Do the Hopper3 & 4K Joeys record actual 4K or 1080i/P?

You're in much the same situation as me. CNBC is in the News Pack which you don't have; NBC Sports and 4k channels require AT120 or above; Olympic channel requires AT200. DISH needs to clarify in their advertising what the requirements are to get each channel when there's a chance some confused customers won't get it. I was hoping they might put some of it in "free preview" mode or maybe offer an additional package that included it.Thanks for the update, so on my H3 guide, no 540, I see 146 - select for info; just a slate for other channels.
147 says 2018 winter - 1 channel. description says select this channel to expand/colapse the olympics channels, nothing happens when I select other than the + at the left turns to a -
according to the slate 208 cnbc, I only show a 207 - olympics info slate
I don't have 389, just 402 - wintr
159 - winter app, says app in red, nothing happens on select.
105 - USA; just shows regular shows...
so maybe I'll need to chat with dish; maybe still to early
Again I have flex + whatever freeform pak & locals added on at this time. during CFB I had the sports pak, and got all the 4k games on 540 that were offered.

idk, samsung 65" something from black friday 2016. same model Sams carries. What model 4K HDR TV do you have?
I remember a previous Olympics (summer Olympics) when it required AT250 to get all of the channels. Dish had a special deal for the Olympics where you could upgrade from AT200 to AT250 for a month at no additional cost, or at a reduced cost if you were upgrading from AT120 or AT120+ to AT250. If AT200 is all that is required this time around, then maybe Dish should offer the same kind of deal, where AT120 or AT120+ subscribers could switch to AT200 for a month at no additional cost, and offer a reduced-cost upgrade for Flex Pack subscribers. You're in much the same situation as me. I concur that the "channel" for the app does nothing, you have to go to the apps menu and launch it from there.
Maybe there is a setting that isn't quite right. I know in my LG OLED there is one setting that if not set correctly, I don't think the 4K and HDR will get thru from Hopper/Joey to TV. But I am not 100% sure of that, I am still learning this TV. I read a post about the setting in the AVS forum. This morning I tuned in to channel 147.05, the HDR indicator came on in the right hand corner and the picture was awesome. There was no program on at that time but the Hopper guide and settings menu was stunning.idk, samsung 65" something from black friday 2016. same model Sams carries.
I don't think its a TV setting; I was able to watch 4K football on 540 when it was airing.Maybe there is a setting that isn't quite right. OK, sorry. Sounds like a package issue. Hope you let us know when you find out.I don't think its a TV setting; I was able to watch 4K football on 540 when it was airing.
In my guide it says Off Air 4K HDR for both channels 147-05 & 540.I now have 147-05 and 540. The both say 4K HDR. Both say my TV is not compatible. So us early buyers of 4K are left out of NBC's decision to go with HDR. I received all previous Dish 4K programs on 540. The Dish site still says only 4K on 540. I hope that becomes true so that all 4K TVs will be able to see the NBC 4K programming.
