4 San Juan Locals now available on Dish

So just out of curiosity, do you pay 5.99 for PR locals and 5.99 for the US Networks, or do you get the 5.99/8.99/11.99 package
5.99 for one
8.99 for two
11.99 for all three?

Dish came out with a offer to PR customers:

Top 60 programming
PR Locals(Channels 2,4,6 & 30)
NY Locals (ABC,NBC, CBS, FOX)
PBS is included

$29.99

I pay $39.99 cause I have a 3 room setup.
Here's the link but it's in spanish.

I dont speak much Spanish (actually..very very little) but I can understand it as
55 channels 100% digital including PR locals and distants from New York for 29.99

So what happens if you want something like NY & LA. Then they charge the $5.99 for the 2nd feed?

WIPR is not a PBS station.
It's the goverment's funded channel.

Well...the folks at PBS don't seem to know about this! http://www.pbs.org/aboutpbs/content/annualreport2001/stations/stations/WIPR.html
http://www.pbs.org/als/stations/territories.htm
http://www.pbs.org/digitaltv/localstation.htm
http://www.pbs.org/riverofsong/calendar/

WIPR is a PBS station and a government funded educational/cultural channel. Pretty much sums up most of the PBS stations stateside!

Just at a glance of Programs on WIPR I've pointed out the PBS programs I saw:

Arthur--------PBS Production
American Family--------PBS Production
Austin City Limits--------On many PBS stations stateside

Barney & Friends--------PBS Production
Between the Lions--------PBS Production
Big Comfy Couch --------PBS Production

Caillou--------PBS Production
Clifford--------PBS Production
Cyberchase--------PBS Production

Dragon Tales--------PBS Production

Eco aventura (Eco Explorer in Spanish) --------PBS Production
Endangered Spcies--------PBS Production
Exxonmobil MasterPiece Theatre--------PBS Production

Liberty Kids---------PBS Production

Mister Rogers ---------PBS Production

Nature ---------PBS Production

PBS Kids Bookworn Bunch---------PBS Production
Plaza Sésamo (Sesame Street produced in Spanish...Children's Television Workshop)
P.O.V ---------PBS Production

Sagwa ---------PBS Production
Sesame Street ---------PBS Production
Scientific American ---------PBS Production

Teletubbies---------PBS Production
The Book of Virtues---------PBS Production

Zoboomafoo---------PBS Production
Zoom---------PBS Production

So nearly all the children's PBS and some of the prime time PBS is carried by this channel at the same time as the state-side counterparts. I think we can safely call this a PBS station.

Ok, I think there is some confussion here.

While WIPR does present PBS programs, it doesn't mean WIPR is a PBS station. Actually I doubt that half of those shows shown are still being run on WIPR.

Oh, and I'd make sure to tell PBS that IPR is not a PBS station:

http://www.pbs.org/aboutpbs/content/annualreport2001/stations/regions/non-contiguous.html

These are the PBS member stations in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands. Click on the station closest to your home town.

The radio and TV services became affiliated with the distribution network as a Public Television Service (PBS, as abreviated in English)
