I want to put a 2nd HD Receiver in my house. I currently have a 722 Receiver with a DP34 Switch mounted outside.

Will I save any money on my monthly statement with a self install?

If I understand correctly, Dish is going to charge me a 7 dollar a month fee for a 2nd HD Receiver whether I "lease" or purchase and self install. Am I correct?

If I self installed, I would have to run a coax cable to my DP 34 switch correct?

This 2nd Receiver will be a HD Receiver only no DVR.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the additional/leased receivers fees for HD receivers are being lowered to $5 in Feb. Otherwise, you have everything correct except the only money you will save is not paying for the install while paying more by buying the receiver than leasing it. Of course, you can get some of your money back should you decide to sell the receiver.

Can you activate a DISH Receiver Online?
