I can answer part of this. You have no interest in 129 (1000.2) as that is for people out west nor do you want an Eastern Arc (1000.4) set up as that is an all MPEG-4 set up. It will not work with the 301.

You just want to add a Dish 300 (or another 500) aimed at 61.5. That is where all the NYC HD channels along with many more national HD's are located.

Also, if you have legacy LNB's, they will need to be changed to Dish Pro's if you want to use the DPP44 switch. I had no problem in the past with the legacy LNB's and a SW-64 switch but that setup is getting old.

Also, did you activate the 211? If not, it will not work at all. I don't even think Dish would activate it without adding that Dish 300 previously mentioned.

yes receiver is ready to go got it from someone I know know if I want to switch to the 1000.2 will that pick up the 110 119 61.5 for the HD channels and is the Dpp 44 needed. yes I do have a legancy fat head lnb and will need to switch I guess to the disp pro fat head lnb.

No, you can't get 61.5 with the 1000.2 dish. Your best bet would be a dish 500 with DishPro Plus twin lnb pointed at 119/110 and a second dish, either 300 or 500, pointed at 61.5 with a DishPro single or dual lnb. You need a cable from the 61.5 dish to the input of the DishPro plus, then two cables from the DishPro plus outputs to each of the receivers. As boba said, call dish, you might get all this for free.

Fairly simple

I have a similiar setup but with a 622. Dish 500 pointed to 110/119 (dishpro lnbfs) with 2 cables from dish. I went with a Dish 500 with a single lnbf (from the dishstore.net in order to minimize rain fade) and pointed at 61.5. One cable coming off from it to a DP34 switch along with 2 cables from 110/119 dish. This gives you up to 4 outputs to receivers. I use 2 outputs to 622 and one output to 211K. Works like a charm.

Swap out 508 Receiver for a 211
