Anyone know if the NFL has announced the date for the schedule release? IMO, it's one of the most underrated days on the sports calendar.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Usually there's a leak or two for the Week 1 Thursday, Sunday and Monday prime time games, as well as the Thanksgiving games. Haven't seen anything yet.

Relax. Note the word "streaming". NBC, CBS, and NFLN will share the broadcast rights.

I was hoping the Patriots drew the Thursday night opener. They have to go to Denver regardless, and might as well have the 10 days in between games. I'm thinking CBS is fighting to have that as a doubleheader game on their schedule.

The Pat's opened last year on Thursday iirc.

Yes, because they won the SB the year before. This year the Broncos will host that game, and the Pats are on their home schedule.

Every year since the early 2000's. And every year the defending SB champ hosts the game. I think the year the Ravens won it, they had to play the following year's opener on the road because of a scheduling conflict.
