2013 NL Central

It was a shame, Liriano had a no-hitter going thru 6, and then in the 7th allowed a hit and a two-run homer to tie it and a no decision.

Dang Reds! Up 5-1 in the 8th and blow the lead and the game.

That loss probably did it for them to win the divison. They lost 4 of 6 in the last week to the Cubs and Brewers. You can't do that and expect to win a division. They would have to just about win out to win the division now. They don't seem capable of winning three in a row right now much less a 9 or 10 game streak. Have to try to hold on to the WC and hope lightening strikes in the playoffs.

Disagree. The Reds are playing the lowly Astros while both the Cards are playing in a hard to win at Coors field, and the Pirates are playing the Padres who have an outstanding winning record in PNC park. The Reds picked up a game on both last night and play the Pirates six more times. Division is still up for grabs.

If the Pirates and Reds beat up on each other it makes it easier for the Cardinals to win it.

Dream on Alice! :)
So are you saying you're not willing to make that sacrifice to keep the evil Cards out of the playoffs? Then you would have the honor of single-handedly knocking them out in the one-game playoff yourselves. heh

Reds give the Astros another butt whooping. They are really really bad.

Thank goodness for the Astros. They are a shameful team for MLB.
If the Reds were just chasing one team I wouldn't have said that after Sundays loss. But chasing two teams makes it all the harder to catch them both. The Cardinals are in pretty good shape for the division. Good chance the Reds and Pirates do beat up on each other the next two weekends while the Cards have a pretty good schedule the rest of the way.

Don't the Cardinals play the Nationals? They aren't push overs. Just ask the Braves.

Bucs blew the save vs the Pads giving up 2 runs in the ninth. Ended up losing 3-2.

I have been rooting for them. They are my #2 team in this playoff run.

That one hurts. Two outs in the top of the ninth and SD scores two.

I would not be surprised if the Reds and Nationals pass the Pirates for the wild card.
