2013 MLB Postseason

I think theres a lot of Red Sox wives and Girl Friends that will be HAPPY by the end of the week ...

When the God Ugly beards come off ... :D

Q. Have the beards been this way all year, or just since the playoff season started ?

I don't know bout you guys, but I think I would have left Lester in to finish off the 8th, he got out #2 pretty easily.

I would have let him work out of it himself, particularly with a 2 run lead.

Koji has been incredible, but this double switch is really putting all your eggs in one basket.....with Ortiz bat now out of the game

Farrell is a freakin' genius!! :)

Then again, if Koji only needed 3 pitches, what the heck !

And to think, you guys thought you had bullpen issues .... sheesh ... if the Tigers could get this lucky :)

Think about this: the Red Sox lose a game on Saturday night in just about the most heartbreaking way you possibly can, then win two tough games in one of the toughest venues in all of baseball. The 2013 Boston Red Sox...look up resiliency in the dictionary, and there they be!!

If the Red Sox win the series, the MVP is up for grabs. Lester would be a good choice, but if Koji saves the fourth win, expecially if it is a 1+ save with an inherited, significant runner on base, he wins it, or if Ortiz get the game winning hit or any two hits, he can win it. And if Lackey pitches shutout innings in a winning game 6 he would have pitched well enough to win it but would be denied it just because the bullpen let two inherited runners score in game 2.

Hypothetically (obviously), if the WS ended tonight, Ortiz and Lester would be co-MVPs. I really don't see it any other way.
