Very true. Both very hungry...in Pittsburgh's case STARVING fans. I am seeing in my mind's eye right now the sea of humanity at PNC with a predominant black-clothed theme, all waving gold and black "terrible type" towels. A noise level off the charts and that gorgeous view out over the river and the yellow bridge leading to downtown. I'm getting goose bumps as I type this. If L.A. traffic is kind to me, I shall make it home just in time for the 1st pitch!

It looks like the Red Sox are going with a Lester/Lackey/Buchholz/Peavy rotation in the ALDS. I think Lackey gets the nod over Buchholz in game 2 because his home/road splits are a HUGE difference in favor of Fenway.

Tigers announced thier rotation expectations earlier.

Porcello to the Pen.

Likely missing action in the 1st round for Detroit pitcher wise, Bruce Rondon and Phil Coke, both fighting injuries.

Dempster and possibly Doubront (although it's possible he may be left off the ALDS roster altogether) will be in the Sox pen.
