Personally, if they would sign for it, I wouldn't offer anyone more than a 5-7 year contract.
IF all teams would do that, you wouldn't have these outrageous contracts that teams regret years later.

If the Sox do advance to the World Series, I wouldn't be surprised if X got some time at SS as well.
