Now that is the Kersgaw we are used to seeing. He seemed to have finally found his curve.

I haven't looked to see what times other games start past today, they could be at 8 for others, then again, it would be like them to go directly against the NCAA football games, Ohio State plays another 8 pm game and the SEC always has a bit 8 pm game.

Striking out the side doesn't HELP the pitch count.
That said, Kershaw, Verlander and company typically go 120-130 pitches anyways.
He's at 91 thru 5.
He should have at least 2 more innings, maybe 3.
Kershaw started weak but finished strong.
9 of his last 10 outs were strikeouts.

Actually, he started VERY strong...got lost in the shuffle somehow and then regained his form. That's what great pitchers do, I guess.
It's time for some new, young blood at the helm of the Reds. I think a no-name 1st time manager would fit in perfectly. No pressure with tons of talent to work with.
