Wow I went outside for a bit & the Giants win ...

As a Giants fan, they were given that win. Cruz went down untouched and he fumbled the ball. The Giants got a huge break. I also think the touchdown to Nicks was that the Cards were so stunned and confused on the Cruz play that the next thing you know the Cards were down 31-27.

MRIs coming for Andre Johnson (hamstring) and Big Ben (ankle), the latter was wearing a walking boot after the game and there's already speculation he'll be out next week. A poster on another forum said Ben could miss 4-6 weeks, not sure where that came from, would make a pretty big splash on Twitter if there was anything reliable about that timeframe.

In a week with people playing after puncturing a lung, Schefter says there are whispers in the locker room in Cleveland that Hillis sat out last week because of his contract, not just because he was sick.

Not sure if I believe that knowing Hillis, but it would explain why he sat on the bench the majority of the day while the less talented Montario Hardesty took the majority of the reps.

The Browns offense still doesn't look like they even somewhat resemble a professional football team. Our offense is dreadful to watch. When tuning into the 4pm games, the Sunday night games or Monday night football, it's like watching a completely different league. Time to grow up Colt and company! Not sold on him, this stupid West Coast offense or our wide receivers (besides Greg Little). So depressing to say the same ol' phrase.... "here we go again". "Maybe we'll get 'em next year?" Ugh!!!

Some of that had to be play calling, not giving it to him on that 3rd or 4th and 1, whatever that was, was criminal.

The GOOD, the BAD and the CONTINUED Ugly....

Not gonna mince words...so here goes..

The Good: Not much here othere than offense continues to have their way with anybody's defense. Unfortunately for my Raiders, the Pats D did what ALL fans wants when their team's defense is struggling...'bend but don't break'. The running game still produced 160 yards of rushing. The Raiders, minus the approx. 80 yards of junk time, still had at least 420 yards of solid offense. BUT, only 1 TD(the other TD was junk time, does not count in my book). Kevin Boss is getting better and better in both the run-block and pass catching schemes. DHB is ALSO getting better as a WR showing good hands in 5 of 6 catches thrown to him.

The BAD: My goodness our defense was awful giving up 183 yards rushing and 226 yards passing. The passing, I can forgive because Brady shreds everyone...but the rushing?! Our defensive line was overly aggressive(I will get ot more of that later) and the Pats line took advantage of that like a veteran line should. Last week, I bitched that our DB were too aggressive, this game, they were TOO PASSIVE. You cannot give Welker a 10 yards of the line of scrimmage on his pass routes because he will do exactly what he did yesterday. You have GOT TO disrupt him/his pass route off the line. Also,
last week...they were 0h-for-9 on 3rd downs....AND WON. This week, 9-for-13....and LOST! The Raiders had 19 points on six trips inside the New England 30......ONLY the Raiders.

The CONTINUED Ugly: The penalties killed us. There were plenty of chances to either score or stop them, but somehow, the Raiders found a way to let them off the hook. 4 penalties gave them 1st down. 1 TERRIBLE non-PI call on 3rd down would have been 1st and goal at the 1 to 4th and they had to settle for a field goal. That HORRIBLE inception while trying to throw the ball away with 2 minutes to go down 14-10. Instead of an automatic FG by Seabass to cut it to a 14-13, they go down the field and give up a FG to make it 17-10.

It's little things that great teams execute and/or do not commit....and mediocre teams that continue to screw up. The Raiders are close, just not as close as I would like.

On to the Texas.....*gulp*

Yeah, I don't get it at all. Hillis was averaging nearly 5 yards a carry yesterday, but they only gave it to him 10 times, yet Colt McCoy throws 61 times!? This team is not built to win by having McCoy throw that many times. Hillis is being completely underutilized so far this season. It's so maddening we can't find more of a balance on offense!

Chad Henne threw for 416 yards and 2 TD's against the Pats and the 'Fins have NO rushing attack. Can't wait to see what Jason Campbell, his speedster WR's and Run DMC do against New England!

How'd that work out?

McCoy asked out of a very limited amount of games, which was the most likely upset to happen and I liked this game. Don't get your panties twisted that I picked against your team.

And besides, if Campbell doesn't throw an interception at the goal line, it's a different game. Even so, Brady had his worst statistical game of the year so far.

He did not have a bad statistical game, he had a more balanced statistical game. I am sure he could have thrown for more, but it was the running game that won the game for them yesterday. If he threw more than he did yesterday, they have less of a running and he would have been on his a$$ alot more.

But no means did they stop the Raiders yardage wise, but the defense did exactly what they needed to do....'bend but not break'.

If and buts, blah blah blah.

30+ points again, I'll take "statistically" worst every week. Besides, not everyone can be Matt Hasselbeck. :LOL

I know it's only been 4 weeks, but I find it interesting that Vince Wilfork has more interceptions than Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha.

well...truth be told, no one really throws their way. And everyone throws those short passes in the copy cat league of the NFL. That stat did not surprise me.

Nnamdi doesn't look comfortable in that Philly defense.no one has noticed that.

The Eagles linebackers and safeties are terrible, and without a pass rush even the best corners can not cover forever. The Eagles interior line can not stop the run so the team is susceptible to play action and is getting burned by mid-range passing routes.

Might have something to do with spending money in an area of strength instead of where they have weaknesses or the fact they made their o-line coach the defensive coordinator.
