2010 NBA Playoffs

I am going to tell you that Rondo is going to take Fisher back to school, there is no way old fish can keep up with Rondo.
I bet Sasha and Farmar will be getting lots of minutes in this series.

Go Celtics!

With the Conference Finals over, this means that for the first time in a long time, there will be no NBA Playoff games on Memorial Day.

That's only because Memorial Day is late this year.

Usually games 3 and 4 of both Conference Finals are played Friday/Sunday and Saturday/Monday, ensuring playoff basketball over the holiday weekend.

GOD in heaven ...I hate Kobe, but he shows the difference between Kobe and Lebron....one KNOWS how to drive a steak thru a teams heart....the other doesn't.

And this Cleveland guy is NOT going to argue with that. Like it or not, until LeBron proves us all wrong, Kobe is still THE guy. Especially in the playoffs.

Personally, I think he is the best finisher since Jordan. EVERYONE in the building knows who is gonna get and about 80% he delivers.

Damn I hate that guy! LOL!:p

Rasheed Wallace is questionable (back) for game 1 Thursday night.

IMO, 'Sheed is key in this series defensively against Bynum/Gasol/Odom.

If Wallace can't answer the bell Thursday night, Big Baby Davis will get most of his minutes. I love BBD, but he's not the defensive presence that 'Sheed is when he's playing to his potential.

Here's a nutshell of the upcoming NBA Finals- facts, keys, and a prediction.

Facts

1. It'll be the first time since 1969 that these two teams are not dueling #1 seeds (all three Bird-Magic battles, as well as 2008)

2. It's only the third time LA has the home-court advantage (1969, 1987- the others)

Keys

Rasheed vs. Artest- Who can keep their temper down and not let their emotions get the best of them?

The Big 3- Pierce was the Finals MVP two years ago and Allen set a Finals record for three-pointers made. How these guys perform will be key.

Guarding Kobe- Utah and Phoenix couldn't contain him, but Boston did a good job two years ago. Who do the C's put against him, and how can they hold him down like in 2008?

Bench Play- Boston's bench is better than LA's, though not as deep as the one Phoenix had.

Bynum- He wasn't playing in 2008. How will he fare against the Green Men?

Home vs. Road- Boston has played well on the road at times, but LA is unbeaten at STAPLES. If the Celtics are going to win banner #18, winning one of the first two games is VITAL.

This feels like a coin-flip, a series that could go either way. I'll take Lakers in 6, but I will not be surprised if Boston emerges as champion.

Wow how did the Lakers make it this far? I have no idea... hehe
I don't think they have enough huevos to make it over the Green..

I say Celtics in 5

I am really not a fan of the 2-3-2 format in the finals. If the NHL can go 2-2-1-1-1 all the way through the playoffs, so can the NBA.

Looks like Orlando is out.

The only question is do the Celtics play the Lakers or the Suns? Would love to see Nash and Stoudemire get to the finals together, but my money would be on the Lakers.

The Celtics and Suns had an epic finals a long time ago, but there is nothing like Lakers/Celtics!

Sandra

Wow, look what the girl predicted after GAME ONE of the Celtics/Magic series!!! I'm like the Nostra-dame!
