2010 NBA Playoffs

OK, who is going to go out on a limb and predict Orlando to be the first team in NBA history to come back from 0-3 down to win a series?

Sandra

Well, there seems to be a trend with Boston teams recently (both good and bad) and these 0-3 situations!

That being said, basketball is MUCH tougher to come back from 0-3 than baseball or hockey, IMHO.

Who saw that the Bruins had a 3-0 on the Flyers in games AND were beating them 3-0 in game 7 and STILL came back on both occassions.....?;)

NOT gonna predict that will comeback and win....BUT I think Orlando will win game 5 and game 6....the pressure will be MORE on Boston than Orlando.

NOBODY expects to go past game 5.

It's gonna be fun....LOL!

I don't think it really matters.....3-0 is still 3-0 in anyway you look at it. There is NO REASON that a team should comeback from a 3-0 deficit unless there is a MAJOR injury to the best players on the team of the team up 3-0.

There is absolutely no excuse....

OK, so you are not predicting a Magic comeback, you just think the pressure is on Boston...Anybody willing to make the actual leap?

Bueller? Anyone? Bueller?

I predict the Orlando Magic will make history and be the first team to come back from being down 3-0.

If the Magic do not win, I promise not to post here in this NBA thread the rest of this season ;)

Here we go, a man who is willing to say YES IT WILL HAPPEN! Good for you hun, win or lose you made a very bold prediction.

If the Magic win you will go into Satellite Guys lore. Please do not stop posting here if they lose, though.

Sandra

Well it's happened three times in hockey and it's never happened in basketball (let's not talk about baseball!), so it obviously matters. ;)

Sandra

And regardless in what sport....including that HUGE choke job by your Yankees....there is absolutely NO REASON to lose a series after being up 3-0 in games.

NONE.

Well if they dont win I really have no reason to post in this thread.. I mean I already got to laugh at the Cavs losing.. If the Magic lose then I have nothing left ;) I could care less about Boston or the Lakers/Suns etc. ;)

Um....Ok, that's pretty obvious.

My point was that it's happened in hockey and baseball, but never in basketball.

And my point is that it does not matter WHAT sport is has or has not happened. It should NEVER happen.

Hell, IF it reaches a game 6....to me, it's a partial choke job because you more than likely missed 2 chances to finish them with one at home.

I don't get this reasoning at all.

So hypothetically, if the Celtics win this series in 6 it's a "partial choke job", even though the other team had HCA and lost the first two games at home??

What the heck is a 'partial choke job' anyway? Did the Magic do a 'partial choke job' last night because they were up seven with around two minutes left and barely made it to OT?

Don't get caught up in the fluff, Bill.

It's MY opinion. If you do not like it, you are MORE than welcome to ignore me or my post. MY fluff...ah...opinion....;)

In 1994 the Rangers lost game one of the Stanley Cup finals at home in double OT, the winning Vancouver goal coming after intense pressure down at the other end, when the Rangers did everything but put it in the net. Then the Rangers won the next three games, including games 3 and 4 in Vancouver.

We come home up 3-1, thinking it should already be over, and will be over soon...but it wasn't over. Vancouver got to the finals for a reason, they were a very good team. The Canucks win the next two games, and all of a sudden it's 3-3 with game 7 at the Garden.

When the Rangers won game seven, nobody felt like it was a 'partial choke job' in any way whatsoever. The only thing that mattered was THE RANGERS WON THE STANLEY CUP!!!

Call it whatever you want, just make sure you spell RANGERS correctly on the Cup!

Of course, that's just my opinion. ;)

Great for you...and your opinion. :up

Again...that is YOUR "fluff"...not mine....;)
