Geez Bill, they did win on the ROAD! That's not supposed to happen to the home team at this stage of the playoffs. Isaiah Thomas always said that you had to rule your home court.

Look at the Celtics championship season in '08...............they lost three games each on the road to Atlanta and Cleveland in the playoffs. And overall went 3-9 on the road in the '08 postseason, despite winning the championship.......

Those three wins were biggies, though: an epic comeback in LA, the East title clincher, and a decisive win in Detroit after the C's only playoff home loss that spring.

I'll be honest. I didn't watch a single minute of the game. All of our off-season acquisitions were made to counter 1 team, the Orlando Magic. Only one problem, we never got to face them in this year's playoffs. Too painful to watch right now.

If I had to pick a team to root for though, I'd pick the Celtics.

THE best center in basketball ALSO has Kobe.....BIG difference when you DON'T have him. Those 'centers' were also rans UNTIL they got to the Lakers....names in passing.

Label them however you like, Pau Gasol plays the traditional offensive center position of low post better than any big man in the league...and he can shoot jump shots too. AND rebound! What a concept!
