Rough day? lol
Sandra
Not me....I have been in vacation. The one search for pity ain't me young lady. :haha:haha:haha
Rough day? lol
Sandra
Not talking about conference...talking about Ohio State football fans bitching about all the abuse when they have NO ONE to blame but their football team.:sob::river:river:river
This has nothing to do with conference and you can say ALL YOU WANT about the ACC conference....means squat to me. Again, not gonna get a rise out of me with that bull****.....LMAO!
The fact that they lost 9 in a row didn't bother ME nearly as much as all the other fans here CONSTANTLY touting it like it's something that we could change. You are trying SO HARD. LOL! This comment is for ANY fan that does not think going oh-for-9 is not merit for taking abuse. You didn't get any conference abuse from me because I don't give a sh** about conferences. But for some reason it bugs you to no bitter end...and hence you childish lashing out at the ACC. LOL!
Wait just a minute,
You know DAMN well that us Buckeye fans take constant abuse from all the NON Buckeye fans here ...
WE don't play the game, the abuse is really unnessasary, but it's handed out weekly every year.
I don't care Sandra.... LOL! Wow.... I am going to pretend I am talking to my 5 year old:
The reason the other kids were making fun of you is because your team was not doing well at all against a conference. Do not complain about you getting abuse because they...as in the other conference fan boys... have every right to abuse you guys because IF the situation was reversed, you in the Big Ten would doing the same thing.
But your persistence to spin "whoa is us Buckeye Fans" ....is admirable.
LMAO!! too damn funny.....
The fact that they lost 9 in a row didn't bother ME nearly as much as all the other fans here CONSTANTLY touting it like it's something that we could change.
Oh...I am sawee I hurt your feelings. Conferences don't mean sh** and everyone in here knows it. And AGAIN, nice try on the dig... LMAO! But going oh-for-9, and in alot of cases, blowouts... "bitch slapped" is being nice.
They won last night, you guys enjoy and stop digging for sympathy, because that is what you are looking for because apparently finally getting off the schnide is not enough.
..."exposed myself" LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It comes with the territory of being good most years, and yall should know that by now. Most good teams go through it.
As to it being abuse as some have said, man, yall take it too seriously if thats what you think.
For my part, Ill give you sh*t, but its nothing personal and amounts to nothing more than good natured ribbing. I would imagine most people that arent still living in their mothers basement would say that they mean it the same way.
So dont take it otherwise.:up Cause it is coming again the next time yall play a SEC team in a bowl. 1-9 now is it?
SEC SEC SEC
SandraC said:Wow. Just wow.
1. Sooooo happy for Jim Tressel. Aside from the national championship game this must have been his most satisfying victory. You could see it on his face.
2. Fantastic game plan going in. They had the Arkansas D off balance the entire first half.
3. Two great BCS games in a row for Terrell Pryor. I'm his biggest critic, but he's winning me over. He's pretty much gotten over the 'jumps' when he's pressured. That was reserved last night for...
4. Ryan Mallett. Kid played a good game and his receivers did not help him out, but my goodness he panics quickly when he's forced to move his legs. And the Buckeye defense forced him to move his legs a LOT. Unlike Andrew Luck this kid is going to need some NFL seasoning before his major league arm is effective.
5. Ohio State made plays that Arkansas did not. Are you kidding me on that TD catch by Sanzenbacher? The ball went through his arms and hit his thighs and he still held on. Oh my. You want to win, you have to make plays like that.
6. Cameron Heyward was like Dr. Heckle and Mr. Jeckyl. He was either dominating like Dwight Freeney or non-existent by either doing nothing or being out of the game.
7. You could see the comeback writing on the wall halfway through the third. Arkansas had righted themselves a little bit from first half onslaught and now Buckeyes were going down one by one...especially on defense. Seemed like on every other play they were telling you about a Buckeye starter who was no longer in the game. Recipe for disaster.
8. I think I turned an ankle myself going into the kitchen for a snack. Hope the rest of you Buckeye fans stayed healthy!
9. Bad luck on the safety, but I think it was probably the right call in reference to the letter of the rulebook. If Boom had broken free from the initial hit that carried him halfway back in the endzone and run for a TD, Buckeye fans would not have wanted the ball spotted at the OSU two because forward progress was stopped. Still, breaking free for a nano-second when there are five more red shirts ready to immediately swallow you up for a safety doesn't seem to meet the spirit of the rule.
10. So now it's 31-23 and momentum is clearly wearing pig, and the punter shanks a free kick from the 20? What the heck? I was expecting to hear that he landed wrong on the punt and was another game casualty.
11. Huge...HUGE stop for the Buckeyes keeping the bacon bits out of the end zone and holding them to a field goal at that point. Everything was ready to crumble, and the Buckeye defense did not let it happen.
12. Fourth and one, Herron dives over for the first down, and he forgets to bring the ball with him? Seriously? At that point I thought the script was written and we were destined to never beat an SEC team.
13. Did the ball have a magnet in it on all those Arkansas punts that stopped inside the five? You gotta be kidding me.
14. Just some incredible plays on the last OSU drive, getting out from deep and eating up a lot of the clock. Earning the victory.
15. What kind of blocking was that on the punt? It looked like it was designed to let players up the middle so the line could get down to cover the punt, leaving it to the three guys in front of the punter to block them. And they didn't. Please change that for next year Jim.
16. Great defensive scheme on the INT. Mallett never saw the guy because he disguised it so well, lining up to rush then dropping back. And a great catch. It's all about making plays, baby.
17. Couldn't believe the INT. Just couldn't believe it. I was resigned to hoping they would keep them out of the end zone and then...INSTANT VICTORY!!!
18. How much confetti dropped anyway? Holy smokes Tressel almost turned into a red mountain during his interview.
19. Don't let anyone take this away from you Buckeye fans, trying to make you think Arkansas gave us the game and Ohio State had nothing to do with it. Woulda's, coulda's and shoulda's are for LOSERS! We've been on the other side waaaaaay to often, where our own mistakes cost us. This time WE made the plays. That's football.
20. At least if/when OSU ever plays an SEC team in the championship game again, this whole 'Ohio State never beat the SEC thing will be buried'.
21. After a rough New Year's Day, this was a GREAT night for the Big Ten!!!
Sandra
Then laugh it off. They are trying to get under your skin, and it worked.
Wait a minute here.
The Bucks are 2-0 on the last two BcS games ...
How many others can say that ? A few I'm sure.
Also, the Bucks are not 1-9 against the SEC, they are 1-0
How many are good enough year in and year out that they can get there most EVERY year.
Like I said, it's been a LONG day.
Nah, bowl games its still 1-9, or is it 1-10? I cant keep up with the yearly beatdowns, and this years win by yall threw me off.
Alabama would get there every year in the Big 10 as well, unfortunately we play in a real conference......
Dont get mad salsa, I mentioned conference.
Now if a sec team wins the MNC game do you celebrate like YOUR team won it like MOST sec fans do ?
No, not like if Bama won it. I will celebrate though.
Our arch rival will play for it this year. I will be going for them though. I want the SEC to win. For one, it pisses everyone else off when we do , and its good for recruiting for all of the big schools in the conference when it happens. I think the results speak for themselves in that regard. I know many dont get it though.
Just like I dont get those that would rather their conference teams lose.
We each have our own line of thinking.

Viewership Less Urgent As Bowls Go to Cable
By RICHARD SANDOMIR, THE NEW YORK TIMES
All at once this January, the Bowl Championship Series games that were broadcast fixtures were instead on cable.
The Rose Bowl shifted from ABC to ESPN, its superior at the Walt Disney Company, which owns them both. The Fiesta, Orange and Sugar Bowls left Fox for ESPN, as did the B.C.S. title game, which will be played Monday.
The shift was primarily about ESPN’s outbidding Fox by $100 million to carry the games from 2011 to 2014. The effect of this broadcast-to-cable shift is usually a drop in viewership. Old-line networks play to 116 million TV homes; ESPN has about 100 million subscribers.
With ESPN reaching 86 percent of the broadcast universe, some viewers, somewhere, are being disenfranchised. As sports have moved to cable, we’ve seen the viewership fall. It has happened in the N.B.A., the British Open, “Monday Night Football,” the Breeders’ Cup and Nascar. The nine Chase for the Sprint Cup races that left ABC for ESPN last year had a 20 percent drop in viewers, to 4.4 million.
And, predictably, viewership fell for the Rose (14 percent), Fiesta (30 percent) and Orange (22 percent) Bowls from the games that played in the comparable time slots last year. The Sugar Bowl on Tuesday reversed the trend, with a 25 percent gain in Ohio State’s 31-26 win over Arkansas.
ESPN could care less about the ratings decline in contrast it it being on ABC for instance as long as they're making big time money for their Disney shareholders.
Well, it was a good game either way, and congrats to the Ohio State fans.
You guys have taken alot of crap over the years when it comes to the SEC and you deserve to enjoy this one.
