2010-11 NFL Season

2 game win streak and they are switching QB's. I guess the Raiders are still the Raiders until proven otherwise.

Seriously, why tinker with things since they seemed to be working out so well with Campbell?!

They will more thank likely have Campbell start this game to make sure both Gradkowski and a very banged up offensive line gets healthy for the 2nd half. ...especially with the bye week next week.

The Raiders need a mobile QB due to the unhealthy condition the line is in. Jason Campbell has done well because the Raiders have gone to a run 1st, pass 2nd.

Also, Gradkowski brings strong presence to the huddle that was needed with this young team.

But please, don't let common sence dilute your rant... ;-)

How's this for common sense:

1. Campbell was benched for a lifetime backup. FOLLOWING 92 points in 2 games and the first 2 game win streak from Oakland in like 10 years. That is bizarre.

2. Gradkowski brings a "strong presence" in the huddle? A QB who leads his team to victories will earn the respect of his teammates. Lately that has been under the helm of Campbell, not Gradkowski.

3. You suggestion of switching QB's halfway through the game is ludicrous. Not only is this a division game, but the following week you have a bye to get healthy. You play to WIN the game, not to avoid injury. This is a big game for the Black and Silver. You boys better buck up and stop whining!

4. Will Oakland sell out, or will this be another black out on the local TV stations? Isn't it about time the bandwagoneers jump back onto the Oakland wagon? They deserve support, but your city aint giving it to them. That's a shame.

Any chance they can beat the Jets ?
Did you see Ryan spouting off about how GREAT his D is .... no arrogance there

It's a shame, his D* IS very good, but putting it like he did shows a serious lack of class, then again, Ryan's have that in common.

They got the Jets , and New England coming this month. I have a hunch one of these teams is due to be upset, my bet is the Jets this Sunday. The road streak ends in Buffalo also. I like their chances against the Cowboys this season too. I'm telling you, this team is about to turn the corner, and become a legitimate NFL team.

If not, I'll be back with "Daze of our Lions."

Not so fast, Wozniak.

The Bills have played better in recent weeks (at the start of the season, I said the Lions game was a lock for Detroit).

Now, I feel so confident of their better play that I challenge you to an avy bet!

1. Campbell was benched for a lifetime backup. FOLLOWING 92 points in 2 games and the first 2 game win streak from Oakland in like 10 years. That is bizarre. A back-up that EARNED the TEAMs AND the FANS and the Bay areas media's respect. The OTHER common sense you forgot was that Campbell is not very mobile, and was getting killed behind a patched up offensive line. The Raiders needed someone more mobile, someone that would throw the ball away to avoid huge sack yardage loss....that the best fit of Gradkowski. I have watched every single Raider game available for the last 3 years....I am not an outside observer. Cannot blame him for being a lifetime back-up, not the Bruce's fault OTHER teams that he played with could not get the best out of him:rolleyes:

2. Gradkowski brings a "strong presence" in the huddle? A QB who leads his team to victories will earn the respect of his teammates. Lately that has been under the helm of Campbell, not Gradkowski. Gradkowski was THE starter....and he got injured, you cannot blame him for that. The Raiders have been winning by running the ball and good defense....not because of the QB play.

3. You suggestion of switching QB's halfway through the game is ludicrous. Not only is this a division game, but the following week you have a bye to get healthy. You play to WIN the game, not to avoid injury. This is a big game for the Black and Silver. You boys better buck up and stop whining! Where have I suggested switch the QB halfway through a game? Gradkowski IS the starter. End of story. AND WHO is whinning? Not a 4-4 team that has a meaningful game at the halfway point of the season for the 1st time in 8 years. I have NO CLUE where you pulled THAT out of....

4. Will Oakland sell out, or will this be another black out on the local TV stations? Isn't it about time the bandwagoneers jump back onto the Oakland wagon? They deserve support, but your city aint giving it to them. That's a shame.

This is the 1st time this team has played this good in 8 years. It might be still a little early for some of the Bay area skeptics to really believe the Raiders are legit team. It is a shame they are not getting support...but that is the nature of the beast. Simple way of protesting the sh** that has been playing in Oakland-Alemeda County Stadium.

I am sure that this game will either sellout or be very close to selling out.

According to Adam Schefter's Twitter, "Raiders HC Tom Cable announced Jason Campbell will start Sunday vs. Chiefs."

Yes...because Gradkowski is not 100% healthy yet and by giving him this weekend and the bye week time to heal....as well as the rest of the team.....they COULD BE completely healthy to start the 2nd half.

...and POSSIBLY make a run at the....*gulp*....almost afraid to say it.....

Playoffs.....

That was very difficult to say....

Look at the positive side, Someone has to win the division.

Slow down little grasshopper, we got a little time till that game. Besides I don't want my avatar on your posts. (I'm not even sure how I got that picture up on my avatar, I'm a computer illiterate.)

No worries, Sabres hasn't exactly been successful when he challenges someone to an "avy" bet! ;)

The Patriots have looked like anything but a team with the best record in the league. They were 28th in defense coming into this game, and surely rank lower than that now.

Chargers hold on against the Texans.

Here we go again with the Chargers, just when you think they're dead...............
