If he couldn't succeed in talent evaluation on a FULL time basis, what in the world makes them think he will have better results in doing this on top of carrying a full time job with Florida International?!

Certain NBA players should leave the front office and politics to others...Isiah being the leader in those NBA players. Jordan has improved, no Kwame Brown in the near future I hope
But in Akron, at least, James is still very much loved by the people who watched him grow up. After giving his brief speech — and without answering any questions from the media — James hopped on a bicycle and joined about 400 children who received free bicycles along the one-mile course.
Most fans were pleased to see him, and didn't understand the vitriol that has been directed at James from the rest of northeast Ohio since he left.
"This is his home. He's been very supportive of us in the past," said Tony Morganti, a Cavs fan from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. "He said he's going to continue to be so, and I think this just proves it."
No threats, no storming of his event in Akron, no heavy booing....just good fun to for the city of Akron, Ohio.

For those who don't live in Ohio, Akron and Cleveland are two completely different cities! Akron is 40 miles South of Cleveland. Most people in Akron are very removed from the general feelings of those in Cleveland.
ABC's Jeff Van Gundy: Miami Heat will break Chicago Bulls' win record - Sports Buzz - MiamiHerald.com
I don't think that will happen.
(Salsa covered that 72-win Bulls team, so he knows something aobut what it's like to travel with a team that, like we'll see with Miami this year, gets mucho media hype)
Just got through watching Shaq getting introduced to the Boston media and something occurred to me................
Most of the top iconic athletes on the current Boston sports team are on the Celtics. IMO, four of the top five Boston iconic athletes are Celtics (the other being Tom Brady).
David Ortiz is a Boston sports legend with all his late game heroics (especially in the 2004 postseason), but IMO he doesn't register that high nationally.
This is how I would rate the current Boston athletes on a national iconic level:
1. Shaquille O'Neal
2. Tom Brady
3. Kevin Garnett
4. Paul Pierce
5. Ray Allen
Obviously Brady has done more for Boston sports than Shaq (DUH!!), but IMO Shaq rates higher on an iconic level.
From a New York perspective I would disagree, Bill. Big Papi definitely registers very high here. At least number three based on your list, and an argument can even be made for number one.

During an interview on SI.com’s Dan Patrick show , one of Miami’s “Big Three” provided some insight into this summer’s free agency process. Despite the rumors, Bosh said that LeBron James never asked him to come play in Cleveland.
At the time of free agency, rumors had swirled that LeBron tried to bring Bosh to Cleveland. But the acknowledgment from Bosh adds to speculation that LeBron never really had interest in staying with the Cleveland Cavs for another season.
During Wednesday's interview, Bosh said it will be a disappointment if the Heat fail to win an NBA title.
"With this group that we've assembled, we know we have to win a championship," Bosh said.
Oh boy. Looks like Bosh just ratted his teammate out......

Live everyone has been saying, there is going to be a whole lot of ego in Miami and Bosh keeps pointing at Lebron as the villain. He's like the snitch that would pin everything on your back in grade school to save his ass.
