2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

No games tonight unfortunately.

Didn't the NBA and NHL begin their playoffs at roughly the same time? The NHL is just about finished with their 2nd round and the NBA (much more leisurely, less impact sport) is ho-humming along at a snails pace. Why wait for the perfect TV day to show a game?! So ridiculous.

I personally think the NBA set these playoffs to benefit the older teams that many considered the favored teams.... Lakers, Spurs and Celtics.

The NBA did begin a few days after the NHL, but the bigger reason is that the NBA SERIOUSLY spreads out the first round games so that all can be shown on a national network with zero (or at least limited) overlap. The NHL doesn't do this (much to Jimbo's chagrin), they'll play 4-5 games a night in the first round pretty often.

And quite honestly, that is the way it should be. But as I stated before, the leagues are run by there TV contract.

Friday's Playoff Schedule

Chicago at Atlanta- 7:00pm ET (ESPN)- series tied 1-1

LA Lakers at Dallas- 9:30pm ET (ESPN)- Mavericks lead series 2-0

The Mavs lead the Lakers 2 games to none after winning the first two in LA, and now head home for the next two...........but yet I feel tonight's game is huge for DALLAS. They need protect their home court.

The Lakers becomes BETTER with Odom starting with the suspended tool, Artest sitting for 1 game.

Saturday's Playoff Schedule
