Even in college hockey, it pays to be mediocre.
do me a favor and keep your negativity out of the thread.
Seriously all you seem to do lately is bitch about ANYTHING. Maybe stepping away from the computer and going outside for a walk might be better for you. Go have something to eat, read a book, watch a movie, download a picture of a porn star and dream that its Sandra, SOMETHING so maybe you'll quit bitching about everything.
Since obviously you know very little if anything about college hockey and think that just because there are some upsets that its mediocrity let me explain it to you. Other than Bemidji (god love them Beavers), all the teams that are in the tourney DESERVED to be there.
10 teams get at large berths and 6 get it by winning their conference playoff. In some cases teams needed to win at least 5 games to make sure they got in. Unlike the NCAA B-Ball tourney there very few cakewalk conferences (CHA where Bemidji is would be the exception because they are down to a 4 team league) to win your conference. The NCAA 99% of the time takes the power rankings as to who gets in. No "oh lets pick them because we like them better" crap like other sports do. The only time someone may not get in and another team might is due to the location and whether they can sell tickets with the #16 team there versus the 15 team. They go by wins & losses for the at large berths, not favorites
So you have teams like MN Duluth who had to win 5 playoff games (2 in 1st round and 3 in conference playoffs) to make sure they got in. The WCHA is one of the hardest conferences in hockey.
So do me a favor and take the negativity out of the thread and to another one
So now then...LETS GO BULLDOGS!!!!
