2008-09 College Bowl Season

Memo to Miami- GET A RUN STUFFER!!

Salsa, no offense, but I think I could have done a better job tackling Jarvis Best than any of the Hurricanes.

Hell, Matt would have held him under 100 yards.

Sabres (Sandra ain't the only one mentioning who she is at the end of every post!)

This team had MAJOR issues at the end of the season with tackling....and that is all due to inexperience. That will change. One thing I have see Randy Shannon do that few coaches won't....if you are good enough to beat the upper classmen for that position on the team, you WILL play AND quite possibly start.

With all that and 5 suspended players.....CAL STILL needed a fumble by Harris to win the game AT HOME.

Nevada's a weird team- played Texas Tech and Boise State hard, but got bitch-slapped by Mizzou.

As for UConn, not only will they have Donald Brown, but you know hancox will be all over that.

Um, yeah :)

1) UConn beats NDU in South Bend next year. Mark it down.
2) I'll be there to witness it, don't care if I need to walk to Indiana, and break into the stadium!

Well, with all due respect, I thought Mizzou should've blown out Northwestern. I guess when the Big12 actually plays a team with defense their not as mighty as they appeared during the regular season.
With the same respect, when the #21 team plays the #23 team, that's not much of a disparity in talent.

The only other head-to-head game is the Fiesta Bowl, right? Texas is ranked way above Ohio State, so Texas should win handily.

Is that 3vs10?:D I was impressed with Northwestern. The new coach may be bringing back the second coming of the Gary Barnett show (a Missouri grad and Colorado fan and former coach).

According to the rankings, Texas should. But I'm expecting a much closer game.

When I finally looked, Mizzou had won, 30-23. Big-10 just can't finish.

Finish ?
This game should have been M42 NW 14 if you looked at it before the game.

Once the game started, M found that it was much tougher than they anticipated ...
Hell, I don't think M ever lead till OT and they had to come back to tie it in the last few minutes.

I give a lot of credit to NW for their efforts last night.
NW beat M every way possible till OT

IF you watch just the highlights on SC, your missing the majority of the game, Danial struggled most of the night.
Macklin won that game for them.

Missou WON one side of the BIG 12 ...

Texas is 3 I think and the Bucks are 10

more then likly it will be one of the biggest blowouts of all the bowl games.

Be careful what you say.

Everyone thought last year's Oklahoma/West Virginia Fiesta Bowl would be a wipeout for the Big 12, and look what happened.

How about your precious Gaytors getting upset by the Sooners? Now that, I think is a reality!

Why is it that everyone's harping on the fact that Oklahoma has faced below-average defenses, yet NOBODY mentions that Florida has played popgun offenses all year.

IMO, Florida's defensive numbers are inflated because of the teams they played. Tennessee, Hawaii, Citadel, Arkansas, Tennessee- those are TERRIBLE offensive teams!

I maybe under estimating the Buckeyes.. (however I do not think so) If they do pull off the win it will be huge. Beating Texas will earn them much respect. However losing well, its expected so nothing changes.

My gators have a very tough match up vs OK. I hope the OK defense is as crappy as everyone says because I think the FLA Defense is as good as everyone says. Spikes will keep Bradford out of alignment.

True that OK maybe the best Offense FLA has played all year, but FLA has played some very good defenses, in fact several in the top 10 in the nation (Somthing OK Cant say). As long as FLAs offense does what it does best, I think FLAs defense can handle the rest.

Yeah, but some of the SEC offenses are a joke, such as Kentucky (sorry, ramy), Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and the biggest joke of all- Auburn.

Time for College football playoffs?

Tebow coming back for more...
