IMO, they are simply not mature enough to handle the rigors of a professional career.
I agree. Looking at his stats, it is very apparent that he is ready talent wise to be in the big leagues, but he is still a 16 year old boy regardless.

True, I do think he is probably ready talent wise as well, but know way to know for sure until he is there. Which still, IMO, should be at least two years from nowLets not be so sure here. It's a huge step from beating on High School kids to hitting in the MLB.
That is my point. Size and talent aside, he is still a kid. I do not think the mental maturity is there yet in nearly any kid that age.but he is still a 16 year old boy regardless.
Well saidI'm sure he's playing in a league below his talent level. Kids go "pro" in other sports, so why not him? Just hate to see kids lose their childhood. The adult world is tough on everybody, especially those that are thrust into it before their time.
He really isn't a normal 16 year old, if you ever hear him speak, you'll see why. The guy really does have it all, has a really good head on his shoulders. I wouldn't trade my childhood for anything, but he isn't losing his, he's just experiencing his dreams coming true.
Verducci with SI had a good column about this kid yesterday....

Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I can see him being a "once in a generation" talent like they say, but when they go back to the last "once in a generation" talent being ARod then that kind of worries me.
