Same problem here with certain channels on 119. Unfortunately, one of them is Nickelodeon so I'm hearing it from my daughter.

Sounds like it will fall out of the sky soon, and I don't mean the Dish meaning of "soon"either.
I'm glad I also have D*. The only reason I still have E* is because D* doesn't offer my locals.
I wonder if the investers know that Dish now has two primary birds (119 and 129) that are failing and not providing the level of service expected, required, and equal to their competition. And, neither can be replaced for months. I smell a business meltdown for Dish.
IF the 119 sat does go down then DISH is screwed . The main programming for most of their subs comes off of 119. I can't see everyone being upgraded to eastern arc to compensate for the loss of this satellite.

Are we looking at a real prospect of 119 going totally offline?? Im glad no HD will be affected, but I'm having problems with Discovery, Fox News, Nick and a few others. This could be a big problem for me...it's bad enough now. Trying to watch Greta Van Susteren last night was brutal...of course, some of the breakups hid her face, so that was a plus.
I guess that you aren't aware that Ciel-2 is going to be launched to replace 129 in about 15 days? http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/154671-ciel-2-ils-site-active.html Where has it been mentioned that E7 is failing? Most have reported some poor PQ and pixelation at times and only on the even TP's. E7 is only 6 years old.
Sweet, thanks for the list. My Dish alignment must be messed up or something, 129 signal strength is like 35 max. If any sort of bad weather happens it drops to no signal instantly. I've got a tech coming out today to look at it.
110/119 are in the 70s for signal strength all the time.
Unless I'm mistaken, the following channels have been affected. This is a list of all channels on LHCP transponders at 119W. The RHCP transponders have been working fine, so the channels on those aren't listed.

36862 EEPGIts not an issue with the smart card as I had issues last night on FSD as well with no new card. Its bad enough to watch the wings fall apart but to continually deal with poor pic quality and now the blocking/smearing issues just puts me over the top. What chaps my ass even more is the audio drops on their top receiver's that they have not fixed for 5 months. I think its time to find away out of the contract and jump to the dtv dark-side.

If they did indeed fix it as Scott mentioned, I'd be interested in knowing what the solution was. Is it a temporary fix that may not hold up for long, or was there full backup hardware on the satellite that somehow took four days to get up and running?

Why does everyone assume the worst when it comes to Dish?
we always assume the worst when it comes to Dish about every thing.
Scott said it was fixed and some folks think it mite be temporary.
Scott said it is fixed he said nothing about it being temporary we are talking about stuff that is up in space it is surprising how the people in charge of this stuff can fix it from down here on earth whether it is NASA, Dish or who ever.
